Kirk and Gail Bridgeman, along with daughter, Kristy and son in law Tyler, breed, raise and train registered Quarter Horse and Appaloosa horses. Bridgeman Land & Livestock Ltd. began its breeding program in 1981. Their horses are bred to perform whether it is at a horse show, in the rodeo arena or on the ranch.
The ranch is home to 10 stallions. Three buckskin quarter horses, one red dun quarter horse, two sorrel quarter horses, a black horse, a brown horse, a perlino and a colored appaloosa. All 10 stallions are available to a limited number of outside mares each year. The Buckskin stallions result in a number of buckskin quarter horses for sale, usually as weanlings.
Horses raised on the ranch are AQHA point earners, ApHCC and ApHC point earners. Many are futurity champions and have careers as youth and amateur horses. Bridgeman Land & Livestock strives to breed quality horses for a variety of events.
Charleswood Percherons ranch is located atop the beautiful Pembina Valley, 8 1/2 miles west of Pilot Mound, Manitoba, Canada. At Charleswood Percherons, we show, train and raise registered Percheron horses. We breed approximately 75 Percheron mares on an annual basis.
We are members of the Manitoba Percheron/Belgian Club, Canadian Percheron Horse Association, Canadian Livestock Records and Naeric.
The foals are born in May/June each year and are weaned in the fall. We keep a group of fillies each year for show or replacement prospects, and a group of stud colts for show geldings or stallion prospects.
